might interest some you........

i recently sent off an application form to the DVLA (equivalent to DMV), requesting all the previous names and addresses of the people who used to own my 67.

wasnt hoping for much, but had an 18 page document arrive in the post today :)

it includes photocopies of all the microfilm copies of the log books right back to the first one in 67 8-)

Turns out my car was first owned by Mr Geoffrey Hubert Sheppy from Stourport On Severn bought direct from the local dealer in the village of Great Witley. He kept the car until 1998 doing only 49k miles in 31 years!

He then left it to the service manager from that original vw dealership, his name was Donald Reece also from Stourport on Severn. He kept the car until 1999, and sold it onto the sister of the guy i bought it from.

If anyone wants to request the same info for their car, heres the form.........

https://www.dvla.gov.uk/dvla/data/relinfo/howtorequest.aspx

scroll down to Form V888, and send it off in the post.

front bumper is off to be rechromed- never been happy with it.

then some bits of paintwork will be redone on the front valance, along with mopping the roof and bonnet. gotta keep ontop of these cars!

ACF Howells in Walsall. Used them for a long time now, and another friend always uses them for his GFK show cars.

bumper including the overiders is going to be about £200.
