Hello Robb,

Wondered if you could help... what colour should my wipers be on my 67?

The arms are silver, sure the wipers should be too...

Cheers, and hope the car's OK.

Sorry to keep hijacking your thread... I found some old silver wiper blades for my 67 to replace the horrible black ones...

I've fitted one and it seems to fit OK-ish, just wanted to check that the clips are correct and there's nothing missing. Don't want them to fly off when I'm driving...

Here's one of them -

Also, when you two toned your wheels, how did you rub down the outer band section, where it curves into meet the inner back section? Got my wheel powder coated to smarten them up and finding that part tricky.

no problem at all.

those are the same wipers as mine, SWF ones, and yes thats the right clip.

as for the wheels, i just scuffed the rim with a scotchpad to key it, not easy way to get into the join, other then take your time

looking forward to seeing the outcome

hopefully should have my 67 back next week. 😎

Found those wipers in an old box of goodies the previous owner gave me when I bought the car. Totally forgot about them; always a nice feeling when you find something original, especially when you pay nothing and they're lurking in your garage :)

Rubbed down the outer rim with some 100 grit paper. Used an emery board for the join... Bloody awkward, eh? Got some Rustoleum Lotus White mixed up in a rattle can.

Do I remove the masking when the paint is wet, semi dry or dry???

remove it the next day, the paint will still be soft.

use fine line masking tape, otherwise you will get a jagged masking line when you remove the tape. 😎
