Well, after a local treffen I thought, let's take the countryside stretch home instead of the E-bahn. Lovely ride in perfect weather it was until..the inner pulley cracked.
I heard a strange noise in the back and thought it had to be the fan touching the funnel.
Not too bad it was so I kept driving home.
But then home I discovered this: The belt held on miraculously and the fan kept spinning without the light even come on. Hilarius!  brokenpulley (Small).JPG You have insufficient rights to see the content.

Hi Peter,

Nice! (not). It's amazing that the belt stayed on & the fan kept turning. I guess the tension of the belt held it all together until you got home.

What was the outcome of the problem with the wipers on the way home from HO? Was it the motor?

I'm still amazed! Yes the wiper problem is (I think) solved. It was the points gap being too big inside the motor to brake the coil. So I guess it kept on braking.
But luckily the pulley held up! Ha!
