Thanks :d

I don't suppose you know the winner of the '58 to '67 class?

Thanks - I thought it might have been. I spoke with him for a few minutes, and he was happy to give me advice on which indicator relay his car had (and mine should have) - resulting in me making a purchase later in the day. 😎 Lovely car too.

I don't suppose you know which car came third too? Sorry

Such a shame that you were not in the historic lineup! Your car looks to good to be in the carpark!

I got plenty of pics of Peters car as reference for when im putting mine back together! Thought it best to get alignment pictures from a car that hadnt had such shameful bodges done to it!

I have also thought that the ssvc 'field' dilutes the vans down, but that is part of the ssvc's 'all for 1, and 1 for all' mentality as a club. But I do like the way they arrive in convoy through the site so that you can see them all pass even if you are stuck on a stand. I thought it was great when David Eccles organised that Westie display in front of the house one year, made an interesting change! I would think the all barndoors should all be parked there by the gates really, or any themed group that could rotate so different people get a shot each year to park there. A massive field full of jumbled splits is really far too dull to want to walk around  and I say that as we are splitbus owners

There are lots of GREAT photo's here, ok you will have to wade through a LOT of split buses, but it is worth it as there are many shots of the stock beetles driving in and parked up.

Yes I agree, and I am surprised too, I have read it plenty of times and never felt the need to knit picked to that extent, or look for loopholes to exploit! Loopholes can be found in almost anything if you look hard enough. A display co-ordinator is'nt a lawyer and should'nt need to be!

Because, lets be blatantly honest now, if you own a split window beetle and are planning to attend Stanford Hall as part of a 'historic' display ( by the way, lowered and narrowed beams are by no means 'historic' or original while arguably Fuchs having come from a 67- 911 and being in their original untampered state could be seen as being so in my book but thats another story  )

There is no way that you dont know the deal with the displays. Otherwise how would you know that you wanted to be part of it! eh? eh?

Lets just stop with the ridiculous petty arguing. The show shoe either fits or it does'nt !

In fact Rock Stock put it better than me, and with far less words too!

btw. RSY is a '53
