This is an original Okrasa motor I bought some time ago - what the spec`s are ? TSV 1300/30 with original Okrasa crank - original Abarth exhaust. This week we put it in the car - let`s cross our fingers that it would "sound" like it should !!
I don`t know Mr. Okrasa - this one has been restored by the VW specialist Reinhold Plank from South Tirol.

Thank`s for the nice words !

Hello Andreas, This will give a nice hartbeat to your papler...
The sound of such a 'hart' will turn heads.8)

Before I have always seen you comming my direction at meetings , now I will hear you comming.
Say hello to mr 3x14a  if you see him. I did not forget him, neither the man with that special item we discussed in Bad camberg.
He just need to have a litle more patient.

One day I hope to make the same engine out of a 30 horser....the NOS kit  will eventualy be used. First I need a decent car to put it in.
Greetings.

Heij Peter !

Please stay in touch with your American friend regarding the cause of Mr.3x14a ! Don`t give up !

This Okrasa engine I bought once for my other project, you know : RouRouRou  , now it will fire up in another fine car, but not in the Papler  The Papler is perfect in the way it is, I will not change a thing - it drives so well .

See you soon !

well, I wouldn't put a NOS Abarth on a running engine, at least to keep the original decals clean.

but otherwise, Okrasa in a Papler is a pretty ultimate combination...

Nice ride andreas.
Always love a nice shot on a hebmuller engine bay, specialy when it is an early one.

Rob, The dipstick on the "rounded top fire wall" is to dipp it in oil..as the normal is replaced with a temp Gauge sender unit.
Now you learned 2 things in one answer.

Best regards, Looking forward to see it in the flesh.

I'll keep my nos kit ready for the moment I can afford and finding a real cheap heb:roll: ...  HPIM1365.JPG You have insufficient rights to see the content.  HPIM1372.JPG You have insufficient rights to see the content.

Did the first drive on the highway today : the needle of the speedometer wanted to go up more then to the 120 km/h sign - incredible - NEVER drove so fast in an old beetle....great feeling.

Also Reinhold has an Okrasa in his Heb, but he has a lot more space behind the engine - could this be, because mine is an older model ? No way to place the bigger oil filter, which came with the motor, up on the left. Also had to eliminate the Knecht filters from your pics, Peter - no way to close the engine lid with these mounted. Now with the flat ones ,it works.

H.O.is like a target - I never would have finished this engine without the pressure of that great event - so I think, does a lot of others with their cars ! Also for this reason I/we have to Thank the team round Christian and Björn.Good luck !!

...and now I gona do another drive....

Hi andreas.
I know there is a difference in early and later Hebmullers.
The fire wall in the early cars is like a beetle. Straight up
The fire wall in the later cars are under an angle and the top is more forwarded then normal.

The later one can exept the knecht filters.
Yet another thing you learned.... on hebmullers.
As I have knecht filters I need to find a later heb....:?

Greetings. Peter

Damn Peter !!!
WHY DIDN`T YOU TELL ME BEFORE ???????

Very interesting,Thanks !
We have learned by doing - next time I change something on the car I drop you an email before,if you allow me to do so.We could save a lot of time !!!
I wanted to mount the bigger, green , Mann filter, but : NO WAY !! As Öttinger used Mann and Fram filters, the orange, smaller one, will do it also ! :d

How`s your Zelensis car ? Might there be a possibility, to see it at the H.O. show ? Would be great !

Greets !
