Firstly I'm a newbie here, so Hello to you all.

I have a quick question - I'm looking for a supplier of 6V batteries. My last battery only lasted 18 months before conking out (a Meteor 404). Can anyone recommend somewhere else?

It is not cheap but has never failed me and started the beetle even after 13 months with no action. I would never go back to any other 6Volt battery. :d

Glad i read this as my battery has given up after only 18 months .My car is not used regularly ,maybe once or twice a month and normally i have to top up the charging after a couple of weeks.Despite the non standard format (especially after just finding the correct cover)i have ordered the optima battery as i think it will suit my needs better.
