right lots of progress today,

trial fitted the wings, and modded them, then sent them to the painter,
removed the bonnet and sent that to the painter,
fitted the front bumper,
finished off the interior,
fitted the rear z-bar,
fitted rear number plate mounting (as i didnt want to drill the decklid)
fitted the running boards, and had a bloody great tidy up in the garage.

finished off by preparing to install the motor-

Looks great Robb.
Why didn't you have Gav do all the paintwork?

didnt have the wings at the time, and it was only just decided that we would repaint the bonnet after it had bee badly colour matched before.

Having a local guy paint them for speed, as hes only down the road, but hes on a par with Gav 🙂

That is looking rather bloody good Robb. Might knock Roy off the top spot... 😛

How did you get your carpet back on the heater channels and under the grip rail? AND who did your wheels, were they powder coated or sprayed up?

thanks pete!

beefy keefy-

yer i got this kamei shelf from germany, itis nos and in the packet still!

the carpet was glued as factory, carefully pushing it under the grip with a flat edge, the carpet nails/tacks were also reused

as for the wheels, i had them blasted and powdercoated semi gloss black, and then i flatted the rim to give it a key, and sprayed the white on myself.

next job- engine in, looking forward to getting that in

Sorry more questions - Did Alex Woa supply the shelf?

What colour did you use on the rims? Lotus white?

Also, was is easy enough to mask up the the rims, and not have white paint bleed under the masking tape onto the black?

yer the colour lotus white for the rim, and i used fine line tape to get right down into the join, and then used regular masking tape to finish off.

As long as you apply the tape properly you wont get any bleeding, this was the 4th set of rims ive painted now.

finish off the engine, then its onto the brakes and fuel tank
