A few interesting vintage VWs in this lot, coming up for auction in Berlin on 28th of this month:-

Anyone fancy any of these to take home?:-

'44 Schwimmwagen at 100K euros (estimated)
'55/56 oldspeed Oval at 15K euros (estimated)
'79 1303 Cabrio at 20K euros (estimated)
'67 Samba at 80K euros (estimated)

or the daddy of them all:-
'55 23-window barndoor Samba at 240K euros (estimated)?? :shock:

It will be interesting to see what they all sell for.

The barndoor is estimated at twice the value of the Mercedes Benz 300 ‘Adenauer’ Convertible Conversion, 1953 - WOW!

It's interesting that the 2 buses didn't sell- a coincidence? Or is it a sign that bus prices have finally peaked or are now actually overpriced for the current market conditions?

And none of the other 3 made their estimated prices.

Update- they sold as follows:-

The 1955 Samba sold for 190k Euros outside the auction.
47 Beetle, 56 UK Karmann Cabriolet, 56 UK Beetle, 57 UK Type 2, 59 UK Beetle, 66 UK Fastback.

So maybe the over-inflated Bus prices haven't peaked just yet. 190K euros? I guess I'll have to save a bit harder before I can afford one then. And sell my house, all my meagre belongings, the dog, and maybe the wife :-)
