Just came across this one by chance, but obviously way too late 😶 It is amazing, but like the VW38 - there is stuff still out there just waiting to be found... The search is MUCH more interesting than how much a car is valued at

So very often is background and history more interesting than a car itself.

It's not one I had any info on previously, but I don't know about the Registry.

That Heb was stored for a very long time.
Not much people know of this one...I did not know it and If Bjorn did know it before...there are not much people indeed.
Swiss was a major client for Hebmuller. If you look how many cars are known in Swiss, or cars that came out of swiss, then it is obvious that there was a great demand and lots of hebs sold.

And there are other cars out there, I am sure of it.
I can confirm that after the registry came online, within a week 3 new cars were announced to us....complete unknown cars, Within 2 weeks, another 2 cars came out...For now it is a bit quiet, so if anybody know an unknown heb??? let us know.:?

not completly correct björn, :d

so it is true, it was offered vor 10000chf, but sold to a guy in germany not in austria for 20000chf + taxes ->> 18000€

and yes he has earned some money, but the car is still located in germany 😎

The car was offered for 10.000 Suisse franc - thats 6.600 Euro. It was sold to Austria - and the fresh owner earned 5 times of his invested money by selling it after a few days.

I am sorry that I was too late when I found the advert on a suisse website - and I am very sorry because I have been in the small village where the car was hidden in a barn when I have piced up the Tuescher Rollback last autum.

Yes, I must admit though not being a particular fan of fully restored cars that is a superb looking oval, I would love it, it looks pretty perfect!

But why do people make rear seat bolster cushions for these later cars :?

I actually quite like them! Also, its not as if they are integral to the car and involve any cutting to get them in! Possibly the easiest mod to remove!

Also, they are not like the early genuine type and are not even trying to look correct!

Yeah ,i think its pretty much like any accessory ,Most of them on a practical basis are useless but are there because the owner likes them or they are just rare.Ski racks are a fine example of this .Its just the having it or to be a bit different, a kind of status thing .Something i think we could all be accused of at some time or another.Me included.

 Funny enough I have some button end bolsters cut but not sewn yet to go in our samba at each side of the full width westie bed, (I cut them to pattern from our og 50 ones) just because they are really useful under arm in a bus, and do make nice accessories, but then we have some in the house on the couches too!

But yes they would look silly in a 'standard beetle'!

You could order any year fabric that you just liked though from Himmelservice.
I am also making removable covers for my fully upholstered dining chairs from split fabric when I get some time

Oh I am having such fun with the new house interior decoration  Except Owen wont agree to us using grooved inner door handles on the kitchen cupboards, but I am not defeated yet! 😳

That could well be down to the lamentable state of the pound though - exchange rate shenanigans.

I wouldn't consider RM Auctions to be typical though, a '67 herbie replica for $23k?? and a '71 beach buggy for £16.5k

Was it RM Auctions that sold a split screen Type II a short while ago for over £60,000 – detailed in Volksworld about 4 issues back :?:
