Organised by the Käferfreunde Hegau Bodensee e.V. - it was an hour or two drive, down by the Bodensee (Lake Constance), and not a huge show, but there were five pre '64 cabrios a split and a Kübelwagen and lots of stock vws.

`scuse the ropey pictures from my phone - my girlfriend stole my camera!

Great photos but......Where are all the Rat Look pikey buses????
You must have been gutted that the show wasn't heaving with them. Still I expect there were some thumping dance beats coming from those cabrio's eh?

Well, yes. Erm...quite!

I was going to ask for a refund, but that original paint crewcab was slightly scruffy, so i let it slide.

(There were in fact a couple of (very shiny and nicely done) modded Beetles, with thumping stereos.)

Yes, you never quite know what to expect at these smaller local shows. Normally a right old mixture of stockers, maybe a few cal lookers, German lookers, LOTS of 1302/03 cabrios (both with or without 7" Lemmertz wheels all round and a whale tail) - and then you'll see someone turn up in a Kübel or a Hebmüller. Kind of puts me in mind of the proper old VW Action shows when it was at the Nat Agricultural showground, at least in terms of the sheer variety. Stuff for everyone to like and a nice atmosphere. Five early cabrios was a surprise though.
